Empowering Feature of Animal Crossing

In the Animal Crossing series, players get to participate in both domestic work (i.e. shopping and home arrangement) and outdoor physical work (i.e. planting trees and fishing to earn money) to maintain their life and community. Female avatars are as powerful as male avatars; they cut down trees with axes and cultivate the ground with shovels. While this may not be the most ideal way of empowerment (for the equalized power seems unrealistic in a sence), it can definitely offer female players the feeling of fairness and the satisfaction to be freed from traditional gender roles and domestic entrapment.
