This is a trailer for the Nintendo Wii Animal Crossing: City Folk. I am writing my term paper on this video game. My case study focuses on its feminine but gender-inclusive characteristics and capability for the construction of gender identity. In one section of my paper, I attempt to discuss how this software helps players actively ”perform” genders through avatar dress-up, using the Fron et al. article and Butler’s Gender Trouble.
